are now confident they have a deal in place to complete the signing of their No 1 target Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The German giants made no secret of their interest in the highly-rated Chelsea youngster, and believe the 18-year-old can have the same impact as that of Jadon Sancho at Borussia Dortmund
Chelsea had been dragging their heels on a deal, with an initial stumbling block being Bayern's refusal to accept a buy-back clause in the contract.
Maurizio Sarri's side were keen to keep the England youth star at Stamford Bridge, but have not received positive signals from the player's camp and now understand he wishes to move on.
Sarri himself has gone as far as to publicly criticise Bayern's 'lack of respect' with the way they had gone about things, while it was initially suggested the Blues could report Bayern to FIFA.
After further contact however Bayern feel the deal is now over the line, after agreeing to a buy-back option, giving Chelsea first refusal only should they decide to sell Hudson-Odoi on at a later date.
If the player is sold to another club other than Chelsea, a sell-on clause is set to be in place in order for the Blues to receive a portion of the transfer fees.
An ongoing issue for Chelsea was determining when to allow the player to leave, with Sarri's side currently boasting a depleted forward line. As things stand a deal could yet be struck between the clubs which sees Hudson-Odoi switch at the end of the season.
There is also no option for the Blues to bring forward their deal for Christian Pulisic, who will join the club in the summer but not before.
