Mangala was the most expensive defender in British history when he joined from Porto for £42million in 2014.
City have not taken the 28-year-old France
international on their pre-season tour of Asia, which starts on Wednesday against West Ham
There is interest from sides in Portugal and Turkey. Porto were looking at a possible deal earlier in the summer.  
City, who remain keen on Leicester City's Harry Maguire, finally arrived in Shanghai on Tuesday after flights were twice cancelled due to permit issues.
Manager Pep Guardiola said. 'We trained in Manchester instead, so nothing changed too much.'
Record signing Rodri, the midfielder who cost £63m from Atletico Madrid, will play against West Ham. Guardiola added: 'He's a young player who is going to be important for the next five or six years.'
