Girl, 10, charged with homicide over baby death in Wisconsin

A ten-year-old girl has been charged with killing a baby at a daycare centre in the US.
The girl stomped on the child's head after she dropped him by accident, according to the district attorney in Chippewa County Court, Wisconsin.
KWQC reported the girl was living at the foster home which also served as a daycare centre in the town of Wheaton.
The child was taken to hospital after the incident last week, but was declared dead.
Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk from Chippewa County Sheriff's Department said the infant hit his head on a footstool and he started crying before the girl panicked and stamped on his head.
He said: 'Later that afternoon the sheriff's department received a call from medical personnel, a doctor, attending this youth and indicated that his belief was that the injuries sustained by the six-month boy was not an accident.'
The Star Tribune reported the girl appeared in court in handcuffs and was charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
She sobbed throughout.
Her parents were with her at court, though she lived at the foster home.
The incident happened in the same county where three Girl Scouts were killed by a truck driver over the weekend.
