Ramos is now Spain's 11th highest scorer after netting his 20th goal

Sergio Ramos will have Fernando Hierro's goalscoring record in his sights after netting his 20th goal for Spain
on Monday night.
The Real Madrid
captain had the chance of scoring a second spot-kick against Sweden
but decided to hand over the responsibility to Alvaro Morata
in order to boost his confidence.
But Ramos may come to regret passing up the opportunity if he fails to overtake Fernando Hierro as Spain's top scoring defender before he hangs up his boots.
David Villa - 59
Raul - 44
Fernando Torres - 38
David Silva - 35
Fernando Hierro - 29
Fernando Morientes - 27
Emilio Butragueno - 26
Alfredo Di Stefano - 23
Julio Salinas - 22
Michel - 21
Sergio Ramos - 20
Ramos is among Spain's all-time top scorers with 20 but is still nine short of Hierro who has 29 to his name.
The 33-year-old, who is Spain's first choice penalty taker, has played for Spain since 2005 and doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
He still remains a key part of Luis Enrique's plans and will want to lead his side out at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
If he continues to take spot-kicks during the qualification process for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup as well as both tournaments then it would be hard to bet against him replacing Hierro's as Spain's most prolific defender.
