Simona Halep reveals why she gave Mark Selby a rare follow on Twitter

Simona Halep has admitted she does not understand snooker despite Mark Selby accounting for 50 per cent of the people she follows on Twitter.
Halep is not particularly prolific on Twitter. Since joining the social media site in July 2014, she has posted just 336 times.
The former world No 1, who booked a place in her first ever Wimbledon
final by beating Elina Svitolina 6-1, 6-3 on Thursday, has close to 300,000 followers but only follows two accounts herself.
One is snooker star Selby and the other is ESPN tennis analyst Darren Cahill.
Asked during a Wimbledon press conference about her reasons for following Selby, Halep conceded that she was not a snooker fan but she does have some rather exclusive merchandise.
She said: 'I apologise. I say that I have no idea how you play snooker. But I appreciate him. He's been in Romania a few times. I met him.
'Also I have a snooker ball signed from him. That's why I follow him.'
Halep, who won the French Open last year, will face Serena Williams in Saturday's final after the American thrashed Barbora Strycova 6-1, 6-2 in Thursday's other semi.
