West Ham defender Reece Oxford set for permanent £3m move to Augsburg

West Ham
defender Reece Oxford is poised to complete a permanent £3million move to Bundesliga
side Augsburg.
The 20-year-old has been on loan since January, making eight appearances and hopes to figure against Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Oxford is understood to be close to finalising personal terms ahead of agreeing a contract and will be officially announced as an Augsburg player when the German window opens on July 1.
Oxford, who has two years remaining on his West Ham contract, has not featured for them since January 2018.
West Ham are looking to use the funds to bolster a limited transfer budget.
They also expect offers for Javier Hernandez, Lucas Perez and Marko Arnautovic. Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic and Maxi Gomez of Celta Vigo remain among their main targets.
Chile international Guillermo Maripan of Alaves is Manuel Pellegrini's main defensive target.
