Which England players will retain spots for showdown with Australia?

Eddie Jones
gave England's fringe players a chance to shine against
Japan
at Twickenham as he looked to test his squad depth.
Having been 15-10 down at half-time, a much-improved second-half display saw England eventually run out 35-15 winners.
Sportsmail's GLEN WILLIAMS takes a look at who put their hands up to start against Australia on November 25.

15: Elliot Daly – Yes
Played a crucial role in first try and kicked a huge penalty. Should keep the shirt next week.
14: Chris Ashton – Yes
Subbed on 32 minutes after Nowell experiment failed. Should retain his spot if he shakes off knock.

3: Jack Nowell – No
Experiment at No 13 didn't last long, won't displace Slade and Ashton should keep his wing spot.
12: Alex Lozowski – No
Gave away an early penalty in contact and missed a tackle to allow Japan to score their first try.
11: Joe Cokanasiga – No
Hugely exciting with ball in hand and try on debut. Would make a massive impact from the bench.
10: George Ford – No
Struggled to control the game in the first half. Looked more comfortable when Farrell came on.
9: Danny Care – No
Scored the first but threw an intercept pass which led to a penalty and missed a tackle which let in the second try.
1: Alec Hepburn - No
Looks to have lost his starting spot to Moon but will be a useful replacement next week.
2: Jamie George – No
Showed his ability in open play for the first try. But cannot afford to be sin binned against a team like Australia.
3: Harry Williams – No
Solid enough in the scrum and close quarters, but Sinckler impressed against the Boks and All Blacks.
4: Charlie Ewels – No
Shaky start but grew into it. England are well stocked in this area, though he should be on the bench.
5: Maro Itoje – Yes
Huge in attack and defence once again. Certain to start in the second row against Australia.
6: Courtney Lawes – Yes
Breakdown work was crucial and a willing runner. Shields has underwhelmed and it could be Lawes' opportunity.
7: Mark Wilson – Yes
Has enjoyed a tremendous autumn and should start. On Ford's shoulder to score the second try.
8: Zach Mercer - No
Should have enjoyed an open game but failed to make a big impact. Hauled off just after half-time.
REPLACEMENTS:
Dylan Hartley (George 73') – Yes
England will need the co-captain's calm head against the Wallabies. Scored again from a driving maul.
Ben Moon (Hepburn 48') – Yes
Looked assured when he came on and was Jones's first choice against the All Blacks last week.
Kyle Sinckler (Williams 51') – Yes
Not his finest outing but had big games against South Africa and the All Blacks the last two weeks.
Ted Hill (Ewels 75') – No
Worcester lock made his debut but, given the options Jones has there, he won't start next week.
Sam Underhill (Mercer 48') – Yes
Been a coming-of-age series on the international stage and will be raring to tear into Pocock and Hooper.
Richard Wigglesworth (Care 60') – No
Broke well down the flank for England's third but Youngs and Care will be the two No 9s.
Owen Farrell (Lozowski 40') – Yes
England's talisman and leader. Jones will need his game management when the Wallabies come to town.
Henry Slade (Ashton 32') – Yes
Has been the in-form centre all season and will need to bring his best against the imposing Australian centres.
