legend Xavi has admitted it would be 'very difficult' for his former side to secure the return of Neymar
The Brazilian is trying to force an exit from PSG
and head back to the Nou Camp having moved from the Catalan side for a world-record £198million in 2017.
'He would be an incredible signing. But I see it as being difficult, honestly. I think it's very difficult,' Xavi told Movistar
'We have seen so many things that I thought I'd never see though, such as PSG paying €222million, so we'll have to wait.
'There's no doubt that he's one of the best players in the world, but let's see what Barcelona do.'
The 39-year-old retired former Spain star played alongside Neymar for two seasons.
After a season plagued by off-the-pitch problems and persistent injuries, the 27-year-old is becoming a headache for PSG.
He failed to turn up for the first day of pre-season training and is reportedly set to be fined as punishment.
Sporting director Leonardo has since confirmed Neymar would be available for the right price but few clubs have the funds required, particularly Barcelona as Antoine Griezmann is set to join for his release clause of £108m from Atletico Madrid.
